About This Project

RER Electrical & Solar Ltd in partnership with Cranston Construction, successfully delivered a comprehensive electrical and technology fitout for a new office designed to accommodate 100 personnel. The project was executed in a live environment, requiring careful planning and close liaison with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) staff to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations and strict compliance with safety regulations. Scope of works include:

Power, Lighting & Energy Management: Installation of high-efficiency LED lighting across open-plan offices, meeting rooms and breakout areas, dedicated power circuits for workstations and equipment, and energy management solutions including lighting controls and occupancy sensors.

Data, Security & Access Systems: Design and installation of structured cabling with fibre-optic backbone and copper data cabling, full IT network configuration, IP-based CCTV system for security monitoring, and electronic access control systems for secure staff and visitor management.

Safety, Fire & Cable Management: Installation and commissioning of compliant fire detection and alarm systems, certified emergency lighting throughout escape routes, and robust cable containment systems ensuring safe, organised and future-proof electrical and data routing.

Coordination with HSE:
Given the office remained partially operational during the fitout, RER Electrical & Solar Ltd coordinated closely with HSE personnel to minimise disruption and maintain a safe working environment. Risk assessments and method statements were rigorously followed, ensuring all works were carried out safely without compromising office operations.

The project was completed on schedule, delivering a modern, fully operational office infrastructure capable of supporting 100 personnel with advanced electrical, data, security, and safety systems. The installation provides a scalable and efficient foundation for future technological upgrades.
