Sports Grounds We've Worked On
Crosserlough GAA
RER Electrical & Solar Ltd conducted a full lighting retrofit of the sports grounds. A comprehensive package of electrical works was undertaken to support, control, and optimise the new installations across the entire sports grounds. These works included the safe isolation and removal of redundant cabling, luminaires, control gear, and associated electrical infrastructure linked to the previous lighting system.
New power and distribution circuits were installed and upgraded where required, including feeder pillars, distribution boards, and protective devices to accommodate the revised electrical loads and improve system resilience. All cabling was sized, routed, and installed in accordance with current regulations, with enhanced earthing and bonding arrangements implemented throughout the site to ensure electrical safety and compliance.
The electrical works also covered the installation of new lighting control systems, incorporating contactors, time clocks, photocells, and programmable controls to allow zoned operation of the main pitch, 4G and 3G training areas, and the 1.8km walking track. This enables efficient scheduling, reduced energy consumption, and flexible operation for training, match play, and community use.
